The Joy of Old is excited to debut Sophie Lowery's new line of notecards, canvas bags and Xmas ornaments depicting scenes of her native France and Charlestown landmarks.Sophie's paintings are inspired by her memories of France and by New England landscapes. She hopes her paintings will induce people to pause and daydream. “I have discovered in painting a freedom that seldom exists. The freedom of choice in medium, subject and colors with which to express myself are liberating. With each new painting I learn more, and the act of creating something that can be shared with others is always rewarding.” Sophie Lowery has been living in Charlestown, Massachusetts, for the past 11 years.
